Pixel Canvas is a Twitch Extension that lets viewers claim blocks on a shared canvas shown on a channel's live stream, paid with Twitch Bits. This policy explains what data the extension processes and why.
Twitch-provided identifiers. Twitch sends the extension an opaque user ID for every viewer, which does not reveal who you are. Your Twitch display name is processed only when you use Bits on a block — Twitch policy requires the username to be shown with content obtained with Bits.
Content you submit. The text or image you place on a block is stored so it can be displayed on the canvas. Images are reviewed by the streamer before they appear.
Transaction records. When you use Bits on a block, we store the Twitch transaction ID, the product (block size and Bits amount), and the placed block. The Bits transaction itself is handled entirely by Twitch; we never see or store any billing details.
Technical logs. Standard server logs (timestamps, request outcomes) kept for reliability and abuse prevention.
No email addresses, no real names, no payment card data, no tracking cookies, no advertising identifiers, no data sold or shared with third parties for marketing. The extension displays no ads.
Data is stored on servers in the European Union and, for uploaded images, in object storage with restricted access. Canvas content lives for the duration of a round; images that are rejected by the streamer or belong to a finished round are deleted. Transaction records are retained as required for accounting and fraud prevention.
Content you place on the canvas is, by design, publicly visible on the stream. Beyond that, data is only processed by our infrastructure providers (hosting, object storage) under standard data-processing terms, and never sold.
Under the GDPR and similar laws you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data. Because most data is keyed to Twitch identifiers, please contact us from a way that lets us verify your Twitch account. Streamers can remove any block from their canvas at any time.
The extension is intended for users who meet Twitch's minimum age requirements and is governed by Twitch's own terms in that regard.
We may update this policy; the "last updated" date above changes when we do. Material changes will be reflected before they take effect.
